Life is to Live

As techies we often have the habit of complaining on lack of time. This reminds me of the verse, which I have read long back ‘What is this life full of care, There is no time to stand and stare’.

God has created a wide, beautiful and a dazzling world for us to enjoy and to be happy. Happiness is as matter of choice, a self-decision, to be happy or not be happy. It may sound to be far from reality. But as we consciously try to opt for the former, it becomes a habit and later in to attitude.

When I walk on the road the sound of the horn behind irritates me and surprisingly, when I’m inside the bus, the crowd irritates me. Traffic, waiting for a bus etc could slice our patience. And we know it for sure, that it is out of our control.

I think the most important step to make our life happier is to shift our perspective ‘The way we think’. Every tough time that comes across, strengthens us to face the toughest time. We should learn to take them as an experience. Especially problems are beautiful. Instead of handing over ourselves to them, we should learn to place them at a distance and look at it. Every task we stumble upon often needs a one-time service. In fact, we may not get another chance to work on it. This very reason should make us to put our best effort that will reap satisfaction.

Every body has got their own whines and tensions. Life is interesting and its short span makes it even more enthralling. Often tied up within the cubicles, we forget that we have a life to live. At this point, a mock of a poet strikes my mind ‘Breathes there the man with soul so dead’. He also suggests that, ‘One impulse from a vernal wood may teach you more of man, Of moral evil and of good than all the sages can’.

I understand we are amidst a hectic world. But still, we opted for this and we envy those who are ahead us. Yet, we can be happy. Whenever we stroll or drive to the office, enjoy the fresh air in the morning. Wonder where you would have been in this world, without the blessings of science.

Feel the breeze, learn to acknowledge it, enjoy the beauty and fragrance of flowers, stop to have a glance at the moving crowd, the structure of the buildings, wandering clouds, the complex computer, our master mind etc., moments with our dearones, treasurable friends, love, affection, tiredness, tension, hunger, anger, depression and the list goes on.

The very existence of the universe and its beautiful, accurate organization and timing is amazing. Every creation right from the tiniest particle living or non-living to the mammoth ones is well defined. The world has existed for millions of years. The moon, the stars, the sun, the mighty mountains, oceans, rivers, valleys has been there for all the generations. But we are mortal. Before we could stop for air, perhaps we are dead, unsure of the aftermath.

For A Wonderful Dad

You're a macho man,
You're my hero
Yet, you wept! the first time
You held me in your arms as a baby;
You trembled with joy
When I took my first step;
Your shoulders were my cradle,
And your chest my football field!
You taught me values, You're my pole star;
You made me understand the world,
You were the loudest applauding one
At my graduation!
Iam, What Iam
'Coz of you;
When my world falls apart - I'm sure
You'll bend yourself, putting the pieces
Together to trigger me,
To the right spot!
I love you Dad,
I love you for what you are!
